How to Download TeraBox Videos on iPhone Without the App

Someone sent you a TeraBox video link on your iPhone, and the official site immediately pushes you to install the TeraBox app. You don’t need it. Here’s how to download TeraBox videos on iPhone without the app — using just Safari, in about a minute.

Why the iPhone push is so aggressive

On iPhone, TeraBox’s website detects mobile Safari and shows a full-screen “Open in app” prompt. Apple doesn’t allow the kind of background downloading the TeraBox app wants, so TeraBox would much rather have you in their app. But Safari itself is perfectly capable of downloading the file — you just need a direct link.

What you need

  • Your iPhone with Safari (no other app needed)
  • The TeraBox share link

Step 1: Copy the TeraBox link

In WhatsApp, Telegram, or wherever you got the link: long-press it and tap Copy. Copy the entire link — if it’s cut off, the download won’t work.

Step 2: Open FileSnag in Safari

Open Safari and go to FileSnag. If the TeraBox site tries to bounce you to the App Store, close that tab — you want FileSnag, not terabox.com.

Step 3: Paste the link and tap Snag It

Tap the input box, tap Paste, then tap Snag It. Your video will be ready in a few seconds.

Step 4: Preview the video (recommended)

Tap the preview player to watch a few seconds first. On a phone screen it’s easy to grab the wrong file — 10 seconds of preview saves a lot of mobile data.

Step 5: Download to the Files app

Tap Download. Safari will ask where to save — choose Downloads in the Files app (the default). To find it later: open the Files app → Browse → Downloads.

Playing the video on iPhone

  • MP4/MOV: plays right in the Files app or Photos — just tap it.
  • MKV/AVI: iPhone can’t play these natively. Get the free VLC app, then in Files tap Share → Open in VLC.

Tips for big videos on iPhone

  • Use Wi-Fi — a 2 GB video will eat your mobile data plan alive.
  • Keep Safari in the foreground; iOS may pause background downloads.
  • Make sure you have free space: Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
  • Downloading several videos? Do them one at a time for reliability.

Troubleshooting on iPhone

  • “Download failed”: usually a cut-off link — copy it again in full.
  • Video won’t play: it’s probably MKV — open it in VLC (free).
  • Can’t find the file: Files app → Browse → Downloads. Safari sometimes saves to iCloud Drive instead — check both.
  • Link expired: ask the sender to re-share. More: link not working fixes.

Try it now: Open FileSnag in Safari, paste your link, and download — no app install, no account.
