Someone sent you a TeraBox video link on your iPhone, and the official site immediately pushes you to install the TeraBox app. You don’t need it. Here’s how to download TeraBox videos on iPhone without the app — using just Safari, in about a minute.
On iPhone, TeraBox’s website detects mobile Safari and shows a full-screen “Open in app” prompt. Apple doesn’t allow the kind of background downloading the TeraBox app wants, so TeraBox would much rather have you in their app. But Safari itself is perfectly capable of downloading the file — you just need a direct link.
In WhatsApp, Telegram, or wherever you got the link: long-press it and tap Copy. Copy the entire link — if it’s cut off, the download won’t work.
Open Safari and go to FileSnag. If the TeraBox site tries to bounce you to the App Store, close that tab — you want FileSnag, not terabox.com.
Tap the input box, tap Paste, then tap Snag It. Your video will be ready in a few seconds.
Tap the preview player to watch a few seconds first. On a phone screen it’s easy to grab the wrong file — 10 seconds of preview saves a lot of mobile data.
Tap Download. Safari will ask where to save — choose Downloads in the Files app (the default). To find it later: open the Files app → Browse → Downloads.
Try it now: Open FileSnag in Safari, paste your link, and download — no app install, no account.
Do I need the TeraBox app on iPhone? No. Safari + FileSnag handles everything.
Where do iPhone downloads go? The Files app → Downloads folder by default.
Can I save videos to Photos? Yes — in Files, long-press the video → Share → Save Video. It’ll appear in Photos.
Why does TeraBox keep opening the App Store? That’s their app push. Close it and use FileSnag in Safari instead.
Does this work on iPad too? Yes — identical steps in Safari on iPad.
Is it safe? Yes — it’s just a website; nothing installs. More: is it safe?
